Take a peek inside the four walls of my classroom by clicking through the slideshow below. You will see some pictures that were taken prior to Open House as well as some pictures taken throughout the year. I'm a firm believer in letting each class make the classroom their own by adding their own special touch with student work. I hope you enjoy the pictures of my home away from home!

One of my students using the SMART Board to complete a place value math problem while the rest of his classmates watch.

For this activity, each student was given a ruler and a recording sheet. Task cards with various items to measure were hung all over the room. On my command, students "scoot" all around the room completing these task cards. This is a great brain-based learning activity that keeps students engaged while up and moving freely around the classroom.

Birthdays should always be special. I love making the birthdays of the students in our classroom a big deal. I also use this for Getting to Know You activities at the beginning of the year, as well as a graphing activity for a math lesson.
